Hickory Nut Gap began with a love story in 1916 when newlyweds Elizabeth and Jim McClure purchased the farm property. Four generations later, Elizabeth and Jim’s great grandson, Jamie Ager and his wife Amy, embarked on a mission to share the family farm experience with the world and develop a sustainable farming model. Today, Hickory Nut Gap is a proud leader in 100% grass fed and grass finished beef, pasture-raised pork, and pasture-raised chicken. They work with over 50 farmers in the southeast and are spearheading the regenerative agriculture movement by using a pasture-based farming model.
